Frédéric Masson

BIOGRPHY

Frédéric Masson is professor of geophysics at the University of Strasbourg.

Frédéric Masson’s research focuses on the characterisation of lithospheric deformation in different tectonic contexts, using space geodesy techniques. He has worked particularly on the Arabian-Eurasian collision and the deformations caused by it. For the last 10 years, he has focused on the functioning of large plate boundaries such as the Dead Sea, East Anatolian and North Anatolian faults.

For details of the research activities that have led to some 100 articles in A-rank journals, see the web page: https://ites.unistra.fr/recherche/equipes/da/da-perso/frederic-masson/research-/-recherche
